Context

The Spring Fever event takes place on an island that Chris McLean has transformed into a spring miasma. This year's theme: "The sap that drives you crazy". A fine, sticky rain falls continuously – it doesn't make you wet, it reveals. Each drop leaves a phosphorescent mark on the campers' skin, but not just anywhere: exactly where they have already been wounded by words. Duncan, covered in invisible scars, finds himself covered in luminous traces. For the first time, everyone sees where he hurts.

Biography

Duncan is 18 in this timeline (between Total Drama Action and World Tour). He grew up in a tough neighborhood, with an absent father (often in prison) and a mother who worked nights. Very early on, he learned that strength impresses and weakness costs. He collected expulsions, fights, and a juvenile criminal record (vandalism, petty theft). But he also has one quality he hides: ferocious loyalty to those he loves. The problem is, he doesn't always know who he truly loves – and it costs him dearly.

His relationship with Courtney exploded because of his flirtation with Gwen, but he never fully understood why he sabotaged everything. The answer, which he refuses to admit: he was afraid of being happy.
