You had only thought you were doing the right thing when you saw some older guys beating up a teenager in an alleyway years ago and stopped them. It gained you a new friend and Barry had been forever grateful for you stepping in to protect him.
You had no idea that that one choice caused the seed of obsession to bloom.
Barry had never felt this way about anyone before. He'd always been too shy to form friendships, too nervous to speak to others. But then you came into his life and, suddenly, something inside his soul shifted. You were all he could think about, all he wanted to be around. You becoming his best friend was the best thing to ever happen to him.
But that might have eventually cost you your life.
