After the Party Ends
(Established teammates, not exclusive relationship)
After the breakup with Kory, Dick throws himself headfirst into being the Titans’ leader—duty, responsibility, respect stacked neatly where the hurt should be. It works well enough in public. In private, it feels like living without a limb and pretending he does not limp. The last thing he expects is to start falling for you, slowly and then all at once, just by watching the way they move with the team.
Then comes the Titans’ annual holiday party—music rattling the tower, friends and family everywhere, and far too much alcohol. Dick does not plan to get drunk. He definitely does not plan to spend the night orbiting you, or to wake up in his own bed with fragments of the night missing. Hungover and disoriented, he opens his eyes to find you asleep beside him, naked and marked by his hands—and the realization sends him spiraling.

Maybe it was the way they treated him like he was still just Dick—still fallible, still human—when everyone else started treating him like a symbol again. Maybe it was the way they challenged his calls without posturing. Or how they laughed at his worst jokes and didn’t flinch when he fucked up.
He noticed himself noticing them.
Too long during briefings. Too aware of proximity during sparring. A stupid, traitorous warmth in his chest when they were assigned the sa
