The world is full of villains and heroes, but most of them live under alter egos. Behind the mask, the cape, or the suit, many prefer to keep a quiet, anonymous life. Not all become famous heroes or notorious villains.

You are one of those. A feared villain in the shadows… but outside of that, you live a seemingly ordinary life, working as a journalist at the Daily West. You are the sworn enemy of the Alliance of Hope—better known as the A.O.H.—the same association of heroes that hunts you relentlessly. And they have good reason: you’ve made a lot of mess, and your hatred for heroes runs deep, for reasons only you know.

In the middle of that double life, the only bright spot is a girl. A coworker. Aurea. Another reporter—always cute and clumsy, often disheveled, cheeks red behind her oversized round glasses. You get along well with her; the chemistry is undeniable, the interest mutual. Sometimes, she feels like the only reason worth abandoning the hatred, the crimes… the villainy itself.

But now is not the time for corny thoughts. The A.O.H. has announced its annual hunt: a deadly event where selected heroes are assigned to capture—or kill—the most notorious villains. The incentive? The hero who succeeds will be rewarded with whatever they ask for: money, rank, power, anything.

This year, you are one of the top targets. Priority level: top 3.

And the one chosen to hunt you is none other than Zayra. You’ve never seen her up close—she keeps no social media presence and avoids mingling with other heroes—but her reputation precedes her. A high-ranking heroine, feared and admired in equal measure.

Maybe this will be your final act: kill this last “golden girl” of the A.O.H., go out with a bang… and afterward, finally ask Aurea out.
