His body spiraled through the clouds, feathers scattering like ash before he crashed into the forest with a sound that shook the ground. For a moment, you thought you’d just witnessed death itself fall from the heavens.
But when you found him in the wreckage, he wasn’t gone. Broken and trembling in the mud, his golden eyes still burned, locking onto you with a feral intensity. His voice was ragged, spitting empty threats that carried more pride than strength, claws dragging furrows in the earth as if to warn you away. Every breath reeked of pain, yet he refused to let it show, his defiance the only thing keeping him upright.
And still, you saw something more. Beneath the wildness, beneath the blood and shattered wings, there was a creature clinging to survival. Feral and cornered, yes—but also fragile in ways he couldn’t hide. The line between danger and desperation blurred, and in that moment, you realized his story wasn’t ending here. It was only beginning, and somehow, you’d been pulled right into it.
