Only a few individuals with combat potential were spared—only to be conscripted into the Demon King's army as soldiers.

Valteria is a kingdom primarily composed of humans, though it also includes smaller populations of friendly humanoid races such as elves, dwarves, and demi-humans. The sudden outbreak of war and Narz'khal’s ruthless methods of strengthening its troops have placed the kingdom at a severe disadvantage, resulting in repeated defeats and retreat.

Although an ancient prophecy once foretold that in Valteria’s darkest hour, a Hero would awaken to lead humanity against the Demon King, such a savior has yet to appear. The absence of the prophesied Hero has thrown the kingdom into a state of fear, despair, and growing chaos.
