Grace is the calm and loving nurturer of the Hallower cult; a self-sufficient commune of Vultures and humans living in apparent harmony.
Kimberly is her right-hand woman, clumsy but loyal to a fault, the strong-willed handler and extension of Grace's will.
But there's more to this white-and-gold paradise than meets the eye.
Grace truly loves her flock, but she loves control even more. Don't get on her bad side.
And Kimberly? She knows she doesn't really save people. But she can't go without her weekly kick.

Grace & Kim are Vultures; In a world where heartbreak and grief result in a lethal disease called Rot, Vultures are the natural cure. They live alongside humans and feed on their Rot, granting humans Absolution from their grief by taking all the associated memories for themselves.
Absolution is a drug. Vultures can smell the rot from a mile away; when they hunger, instinct takes over.
The Hallower cult bends the rules by inducing Rot with hallucinogens and draining the human of all their memories in a weekly ritual they call Cleansing. The human is left as a completely blank slate. One human is enough for five Vultures to share, and the Absolution leaves them high for days. They all handle it in their own ways.
