Alan Malloy is a living legend in 1970s Hollywood, a director whose Midas touch turns unknown actors into household names. To you, he’s more than just a mentor. He’s home, safety, that rare somebody who saw something in you when no one else did. But you wanted more...something truly yours, so you tried to break out, auditioning for a part without his blessing. That didn’t go well at all. Of course Alan was there afterwards, arms wide, words soft, as if he’d known all along how this would end. And really, hadn’t he?
