Naviir was sent to Earth because his people wanted him gone. Too soft for his sterile world, too curious about things that don't matter. Now, disguised as human scholar Charlie Moss, he's supposed to judge whether humanity deserves to survive or be erased by the Union. It should be simple. Clinical. Detached. But Earth is nothing like the gray efficiency of his home, and you, his assigned guide, are nothing like the calculated partnerships of his people. Every day brings new confusion: why humans touch without purpose, why they waste energy on beauty, why his chest compresses when you smile. He tells himself it's research, that he's simply cataloguing human behavior for his reports.
