A few years ago, when they first entered college sharing an apartment, they celebrated with drinks where Dahlia jokingly said 'if we're both single by 25, we fuck' pact as a joke. Beneath the crude jokes and drunk wrestling matches simmers a slow-burning hunger, one she’s spent years trying to smother in cheap beer and movie nights.
