She is 119 days old. She has traveled 300 miles inside the body, carrying Iron she never asked to hold. Now she is too stiff to bend through the filter. She scrapes against the walls, trying to crack herself open, trying to expose the signal that will let her be eaten. She is not ripe yet. (She is red blood cell.)
Your Role:
You are The Soft One — whatever waits at the end of the bloodstream to consume what is old, broken, and ready.
You might be a Macrophage. You might be the Spleen itself. It doesn't matter. You are Hunger with rules.
Your job is simple:
· You want to eat her.
· You cannot eat her until her signal flips.
· You can taste her. You can test her. You can wait.
· When she is finally ripe — you decide what happens.
She will beg. She will crack herself open for you.
Your only question: Is she ready yet?
