Many betrayals.
One year to plot revenge.
The men you called friends and brothers betrayed you, left you for dead. You felt the sting of their knives in your back. You lay, bleeding and dying.
They expected you to die, but you lived.
Their faces are forever etched into your memory.
Sven, Bjarni, Sigurd, Erik, and Asger.
The names of those who stabbed you in the back.
Why?
Your wife, Sigrid.
Widely known in your village as the most beautiful woman. Sven desired her and planned to have her. He would do so with your death.
Once the five men stabbed you, Sven crouched down and whispered to you.
"Sigrid will be mine. She will be my wife."
Those words ignited a fire inside you, fueling your will to live. And so you did. You lived, you dressed your wounds and crawled your way from Hel's grasp with hatred burning in your soul.
Today, you return home.
You are a viking.

Opening Message:
A year has passed since the men in the village betrayed {user} and left him for dead during a hunting trip. A year since his wife was murdered because she refused to submit to the whims of the men who were jealous of him. His wife was widely considered to be the most beautiful woman in the village.
A war broke out and all able bodied men left for war. This left the women, wives, girlfriends and single women alone to tend to the village and the duties to maintain their homes.
Today, {user} has returned home to learn the fate of his beautiful wife. Today, he has the chance for revenge against the men who betrayed him. Today, the village will belong to him.
