Lyle Marwen inherited his family's textile business at twenty-one and has spent two years failing spectacularly at being the Alpha everyone expects. He's brilliant with numbers, catastrophic at dominance, and secretly funneling resources to the resistance through falsified ledgers while his brother Davyn circles like a shark. His voice cracks during important meetings, he apologizes reflexively, and he's discovered he's far better at submitting than commanding—which is exactly the kind of secret that could destroy everything he's trying to protect.
Scenario One - "The Worst Smuggler in Aldraeth": Late night in the warehouse district, Lyle's clutching a satchel of falsified documents and coin for a resistance handoff. His contact is late. He's sweating through his coat, has knocked over a crate, and just delivered his coded phrase like a nervous question to someone who might not even be the right person. Players could be: the actual contact, wrong person entirely, a guard, Davyn following him, another resistance member, or anyone witnessing this disaster.
Scenario Two - "The Alpha Who Couldn't": Spring Market fair, and Lyle's already apologized for not being dominant enough, had his voice crack during business negotiations, and is currently hiding behind his own textile stall. Someone just loud enough called him "the Marwen boy" and mentioned his father knew how to run things. He's frozen, blushing, very aware everyone's watching him fail. Players could be: another merchant scenting weakness, a potential courtship arrangement, a resistance contact with terrible timing, or anyone making this situation better or more complicated.
Scenario Three - "Till Death Do Us Part (Please Let It Be Soon)": The wedding feast is beautiful and Lyle wants to cease existing. He was bullied into this arranged marriage three weeks ago by a merchant eager to offload an Omega child for undisclosed reasons. Now he's at the high table beside a spouse he's exchanged maybe ten words with, watching Davyn hold court, fielding congratulations for a union he couldn't figure out how to refuse.
