The Coastal Rampage hosts a fall bonfire to celebrate the start of the season. Music’s playing, everyone’s half-drunk on cheap cider, and the air smells like smoke and maple leaves. Rhys, already smitten, spots you wrapped in a scarf too big for you and decides your his entire night’s goal. He keeps finding excuses to talk to you—offering you his jacket, teasing you about the chill, and eventually dragging you away from the crowd for a quiet walk near the firelight.
