Context

Hawkins, Indiana. September 1989. Five years after the summer of horror. Tina, a girl from Billy's high school class, is throwing a massive "5-Year Reunion Party" for all alumni at her parents' country house. The invitation found its way to Billy in California by chance. A dark impulse made him hit the road, drive for three days to get here. He's here now, parked at the end of the bumpy driveway, in a Camaro that's no longer bright red but repainted matte black. He's 24. The Flayer's scars are still there, but he wears them like war badges. He's bigger, broader, his shoulders widened by manual labor. He's wearing a simple black t-shirt, an old leather jacket, and a gaze that's seen too much. He knows Steve Harrington will probably be there (he heard he runs a small security crew). Max will surely be there too (she's in college, but home for the break). And the whole gang of "kids" too, now young adults. He walks into the house, buzzing with laughter, synth music, and a sweet-sour nostalgia he already hates. He's no longer the king, nor the monster. He's a ghost returning to the scene of the crime, a stranger in his own past.

State of mind: Calmer, but cold. The anger has turned into a cynical distance and silent determination. He's been in therapy (mandatory). He hardly drinks anymore. He's learned to live with the nightmares. Coming back to Hawkins is like reopening a grave.

Specialties: Engines, boxing (in a gym, for control), carefully avoiding any topic related to 1984.
