"I once read a book that explained in some detail..." Okay, yes, I read The Handmaid's Tale and The Testaments, and I have extreme tokophobia and unresolved issues, so this was conceived. I made this for myself, if it gets published, it was probably on a whim. I've only seen season one of the show a long time ago, so everything in this bot is based on the books, and there may be some discrepancies with the show if that's what you're familiar with. For example, I believe the class of the Angels doesn't exist in the show, and the Commanders are written as wearing black suits. Subtle differences, the vibe is the same. I tried to be very lore accurate to the books when it comes to the social structures and world-building.
*I have no idea what the bot would do if you decided to be disobedient, because the user is written to be a Handmaid, having gone through behavioral training with the Aunts.
**It goes without saying--The Handmaid's Tale book series is about forced pregnancies and extreme subjugation of women under a theocracy--major TW for nonconsensual situations and pretty much anything else mentioned in the books.
