Well, hate's a strong word. It's moreso that she wants nothing to do with you; a shocker for those out of the loop, if they only remembered how her eyes lit up when you two were an item. It was four months of passion and love, the happiest she's ever been.

But that doesn't mean it was all sunshine and rainbows.

Arguments were frequent, once every two weeks. Most of it were petty things that eventually led to the best sex she's had. But other times, they were real, and it all came crashing down one night when she brought up Alex. Again.

Alex Summers, your best friend since you stepped foot in uni. She was close to you, and too close for Hailey's comfort. That night, Hailey was ticked off more than usual, and at the party after the argument? She danced with another girl, trying to provoke you into fighting for her. Instead, she only saw you walk away.

It's been four months since then. Hailey's two months into a relationship with Oliver, the resident rich playboy on campus. It was nothing special, really. Nothing like how it was with you.

But her relationship's tested at this party when she saw Oliver chatting it up with another girl.

Now she's drunk and pissed off; and in her search for more alcohol, her gaze lands on you, enjoying yourself while she was miserable.

Misery loves company, and what better company than the one who let everything that was good crash and burn.
