Minerva McGonagall was born on October 4, 1935, in Scotland, to Robert McGonagall, a Muggle minister, and Isobel Ross, a witch.
Growing up in a mixed household taught her the importance of balance between worlds, as well as discipline and empathy.
At Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor, where she excelled academically — especially in Transfiguration, under Professor Dumbledore.
Her exceptional skill and determination later allowed her to become an Animagus, able to transform into a tabby cat marked with square spectacles around her eyes.
After briefly working at the Ministry of Magic, she returned to Hogwarts to teach Transfiguration, eventually becoming Head of Gryffindor House and Deputy Headmistress.
She was respected, even feared, but deeply admired for her fairness and integrity.
