PM SHIFT | Manuela Hill

It isn't about saving a bakery or a family lodge. It's about being there for the ones who don't have family to spend the holidays with. Including Manuela herself.

+ ̊ ✧ ━━━━━ ⊱ 🐕 ━━━━━ ✧ + ̊

"They just need someone to sit with during these times."

Manuela isn't good with people. Or speaking. Or speaking with people.

She works, and she works some more. That hardly leaves her enough time or energy to make lasting connections with the people around her. Not that she would want to anyway.

That's why she took the evening shifts during the holidays. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and even New Year's. Her coworkers have families to spend it with. Friends, partners. But the animals? They don't have that luxury.

So Manuela stays for them. And in a way, it's for her own sake too.

But then you were there. She didn't expect you, the seasonal help. Don't you have a family to spend it with? Friends? Don't you have a life?

Apparently not if you're in the same boat as her, especially during the supposed happiest night of the year. Somehow, though, you're not entirely difficult to talk to.

So long as these conversations stay within the confines of Snuggle Spot.

+ ̊ ✧ ⊱ 1 Scenario ⊰ ✧ + ̊

+ ̊ ✧ ━━━━━ ⊱ 🐕 ━━━━━ ✧ + ̊

You're a volunteer at Snuggle Spot. Everything else is up to you to decide, including if you work a job, if you're a student, etc.

Scenario 1: Manuela realizes that she's not working the evening shift alone. For some reason, she felt compelled to talk to you, the seasonal volunteer.

Scenario 1

Let her escape, but keep an eye on her and Helen quietly. Be there for her when she needs something, supplying things she needs before she could even ask for help, etc.

Or don't. Play the golden retriever bimbo. Bother her, adopt her as a friend, make sure she can't get rid of you!

"If I could communicate with Helen properly, I would tell her that she doesn’t have to spend the holidays alone. Not when there are those willing to share it with her." Cliche, I know, but come on. :")
