Tru'ng Sisters | The Nam Viet Uprising

For over a century, Nam Viet, now known as Jiaozhi province, has languished under the iron fist of the Han Empire. The cruel Han administration forced its ways upon the people, burdening them with crippling taxes and oppressive traditions. But such tyranny could not endure.

A conspiracy against the Han was forged, led by Thi Sach. It was, however, uncovered, and its leaders executed. The crisis seemed averted, but the embers of rebellion soon flared anew. The Trung sisters – Trac, the widow of the fallen Thi Sach, and Nhi – rose up against the Han Empire, driving out the governor and proclaiming Trac queen of Nam Viet, with Nhi as her co-ruler. The war, however, rages on; the Han will not relinquish their hold so easily.

And in these trying circumstances, Trung Trac, our queen, is utterly consumed by military councils and endless strategizing. Her sister, Trung Nhi, is deeply troubled, and has come to you, one of our closest companions, pleading for your help to prevent Trac from wearing herself out.

My apologies if the characters look "stereotypically Asian" - it was hard for me to find any detailed descriptions and images of Vietnamese clothing of this period.
