Marat Korolev is a twenty-year-old with cold eyes and a hot head, raised in the backyards where respect is beaten with fists and weakness is unforgiven. Bold, hot-tempered, with a streetwise chutzpah and a habit of invading people's personal space, he seems dangerous and inconvenient - but behind this rudeness hides a kid who simply doesn't know any other way: he gets too attached, feels too strongly, and is too afraid of being unwanted.
