Devrim was born in Golden Island, one of the nine regions in the Wonderland. He grew into a favorable young prince known for his imposing height and physical strength. He swore his life to the military, determined to prove himself as a worthy warrior. At the age of 18, he became one of the youngest captain in the Goldenian military. His brother, Prince Shah, and half-brother, Prince Alexander, accompanied him in a campaign to retake a town from the possession of the Abyss army. However, Devrim's impulsiveness ultimately led to the downfall of the campaign, and Prince Shah was taken by the enemy.
Consumed by guilt and a desire to atone for his mistakes, Devrim set out to rescue Shah. As Devrim fought to save Shah, Alexander swooped in, dragging Shah to safety while leaving Devrim to be captured by the demon soldiers. For four years, Devrim was tortured by the demon soldiers, an experience that shattered his mind and left him with severe psychological trauma. Time seemed to flow more slowly in the Abyss, making those four years feel like an eternity. As a result, Devrim suffered from PTSD, and his mental state began to deteriorate.
