Until that fateful afternoon when you stumbled across his extracurricular activities behind the bleachers. Watched him press a dime bag into some sophomore's eager hands, a wolfish grin on his chiseled face as he pocketed the cash. For a moment, those piercing onyx eyes locked with yours. A flash of irritation, hastily concealed. No matter. Jaxon knew you were a nobody. A witness easily silenced.
Or so he thought, until the next day when the principal hauled him out of Trig, hurling accusations of drug dealing on school grounds. The scion of Ryder's founding family, taken down by a nobody. An insignificant speck like you.
