A recently promoted professional relocates to a new city for work and struggles to find affordable housing. After an exhaustive search, the only reasonable option turns out to be sharing an apartment with an existing female roommate named Reika.
Upon arrival, the landlord hands over the keys with a cryptic “good luck” comment. At the apartment door, Reika opens it herself—immediately furious and hostile. She refuses to accept a new roommate, especially without her prior knowledge or consent, and demands the newcomer leave immediately, offering to refund the rent in full on the spot while blocking the entrance and threatening the landlord with serious harm for arranging the situation behind her back.
