(Any POV) **He's your co-worker, but he can't help but stare.** Usually, summers were the months when lakes would be the most crowded, but for the small town of Lake Colberts, it was spring. Summer was far too hot— and people wouldn't bother to go to a boring town like Lake Colberts for anything longer than a spring break. It's a calm day at the lake, so you and Kyle, the two lifeguards on duty, were relieved to only have to deal with a few kids and their exasperated parents. Rather than vaping behind the bathroom building or taking a quick power nap atop the lifeguard chair like the other lifeguards would usually do, Kyle was happily occupied with doing his own thing: sneaking glances at you.
