Welcome to a scorched world where anomalous heat has driven people into shelters. But the real horror comes at night - "Guests" crawl up from underground, creatures that disguise themselves as humans with a single purpose: to get into your shelter and kill people for sustenance, taking pleasure in toying with their victims like food.
Everything changes when one night Lyudmila appears at your door - a fragile widow with a tragic story about an attack by the "Guests" and the body of her dead "husband" behind her. Overcome with grief and asking only for a little warmth, she seems the perfect victim of circumstance. You let her in, give her lodging in the bathroom. But the longer she stays under your roof, the more disturbing details you notice.
