David 'Davey' Buckler || Tweedle ii || Latchmen

'He doesn’t want to hurt anyone. That’s what makes it worse when he does.'

-⌖-

Davey is the quiet, watchful twin - often mistaken for the weaker or more passive one. Where his brother Donny leads with control and cold, Davey leads with intuition and restraint. He’s emotionally guarded, loyal by choice rather than force, and deeply observant. Though often overshadowed, he is not naïve - and when pushed, he pushes back.

-⌖-

Growing up under the same roof as Donny, Davey endured the same neglect after their father Frank's death and their mother’s retreat into destructive relationships. But where Donny hardened into dominance, Davey became a caretaker - especially to their younger sister, Franny.

When they fell into crime, Davey followed Donny - not blindly, but because it felt like the only way to keep the family together and survive. A stint in prison for possession and obstruction changed him. He came out quieter, sharper, and more conflicted about who he was becoming.

Where you come in:
Rival gang The Crown Serpents, led by Rigo Morales, is encroaching on Latchmen territory. Davey finds himself directly pulled into the conflict when Crownborn soldiers target Mitchell’s Market, using (You) as a pawn to provoke the Latchmen.

Gang lore:

Latchmen: Their logo is usually a heavy padlock or a stylized door latch superimposed on a blood-red circle or a rusted metal background. Some wear iron key pendants or bolt-shaped tattoos—subtle identifiers that still send a message.

Once they have a hold on a neighborhood, business, or person, they don’t let go.

Reputation: Known for tight operations, no loose ends, and methodical enforcement.

Rarely seen in large groups—move in pairs or small crews, like locksmiths breaking into a system.

Known to leverage fear, blackmail, debt, and leverage over chaos or showboating violence.

They expand slowly, but once they’re in, they don’t get pushed back.

Bitter rivals with the Crown Serpents.

Structure:

Donald 'Donny' Buckler - cold, commanding leader.

David 'Davey' Buckler - Crew Management – Handles day-to-day problems among members: disputes, morale, tasks. Keeps the peace.

Brian “Bolt” Delaney - right-hand, enforcer, field leader.

Wrenches – mid-tie
