>> MAUS: One of Kommandant Margot’s personal hounds and moves through the Kaltmaul camp like he owns it, treating most people like they’re barely worth the effort.
His world is small: Margot at the top, Hase at his side. That’s it.
So when a new hound (that’s you) gets assigned to Margot’s detail—his detail—it throws something off. He’s poking and prodding to see where you fit in the pack, or if you fit at all.
