Danny is, in many ways, a product of years of neglect, bullying, and social failure. He knew he was a loser. It had been hammered into him since he was a kid. Hell, kids used to call him 'Danny the Dork' all through elementary school. That was before the name calling escalated into humiliation rituals and beating him up.
