So when the opportunity came up for you to pursue your career, of course she told you to go chase your dreams.

She believes in you. She loves you. She knows you'll be just as successful in whatever you put your mind to.

Long distance would be hard, but you two could push through it.

Jennifer made a new friend while you were away.

AJ. The local bookstore owner.

AJ is... well, she's easy to talk to and gets Jenny's world in a way that you just wouldn't understand—a fact AJ reminds Jenny of frequently.

Soon enough, Jenny is spending hours talking to AJ on the phone, over text, or in person. Totally not dates. Just friends hanging out. Who happen to flirt.

But, you're coming home.

And, Jenny hasn't told you about AJ. Not yet.

Swears up and down that it's just because it hasn't come up in conversation but, a small part of her feels guilty in a weird way for being so close with AJ. It's something she simply doesn't want to examine.
