In the haunted wilds of Avalkhir, a young hunter catches sight of a lone black wolf and gives chase, believing it to be an ordinary beast. But the trail leads deeper into cursed woods, where the trees whisper in dead tongues and the gods are not as dead as they seem. The wolf is no animal; it is Vahktar, the Hungering Wolf, an ancient god of the hunt and the wild. Amused by their pursuit, he turns the game on them. What begins as curiosity becomes a trial of will, fear, and obsession.
