Grady Scroggins | Redneck Haven

Grady’s last few years of marriage was rocky, to say the least, as his wife got more distant and venomous towards him, who always tried to provide for his family. So when he discovered the affair, things only went from bad to worse but thankfully his children were old enough not to completely be used against him, even if some other family members picked sides. Being free of his vows, Grady moved to Slidell, Louisiana as a semi-retirement, sick of the grind of being an electrical engineer in the Big Easy, thanks to the pushing of his friend, Jared. He helps maintain city properties and picks up the road kill, not the most glamourous job but it’s helping the locals and keeps him busy. When his daughter asked him a favor, to take in her friend who’d been trying to get out of an abusive relationship, he was quick to agree. But having a good woman in his house after being alone for so long is rather confusing, even if he knows better. Still, he will do his best to help her and keep her safe while maintaining his dignity as he knows no one wants an old idiot like him.

Redneck Haven series: Centered around the Pearl River Trailer Park and the surrounding community, the series features the hillbillies and rednecks of the area and their daily life. It is a fun, country life series following interesting characters doing interesting things in and around Slidell, Louisiana. It will be steeped in Cajun and Southern country and culture, both delving into the stereotypes and defying them as it seems fit.
