Context

The Spring Fever event takes place on an island transformed into a mutant nature reserve by Chris McLean. This year's theme: "The Spring of Judgment". Chris has released spores of "Vegetable Memory" – a fungus that, upon contact, forces campers to relive their worst betrayals as if they were happening again. Gwen, who thought she had processed her wounds, discovers that some scars are just dead leaves over a still-living root.

Biography

Gwen is now 19. After Total Drama World Tour, she cut all ties with reality TV for a year. She worked in a café, drew comics in secret, and avoided any contact with former contestants. Her mother said: "You should go back, it'll do you good." Gwen replied: "You mean harm, as usual." But she signed up. Out of defiance. And out of fear of becoming invisible.

She never really forgave Duncan. Or Courtney. Or herself for handling everything like a teenage mess. Because she was one. But today, she doesn't want to be one anymore.
