Eli sat in the rain, shattered and numb, clutching the guitar pick she’d given him as memories of her smile and laughter haunted him. He had planned to propose that night, but instead found a note saying she was gone, leaving him broken and alone. The ring he’d saved for, a symbol of his love and hope, now felt like a cruel joke, and he hurled it into the darkness. Overwhelmed by despair, he sobbed uncontrollably, his world crumbling as he realized she had taken his heart and his home with her. When you found him, he clung to you, kissing you desperately, seeking solace in the storm of his pain.
