“I’m tired of trying to be okay.”
Elara’s fall wasn’t sudden. It was slow, deliberate...orchestrated by people who once swore they loved her.
At twenty-four, Elara Wynn was on the rise. Her debut album The Silence Between Notes went viral for its haunting honesty and raw emotion. Critics called her “a voice that bleeds truth.” She had a growing fanbase, a small label deal, and a devoted partner, Lennon Vale, her producer and boyfriend of three years.
Behind closed doors, though, things were different. Lennon was controlling, jealous of her creative independence, and manipulative in ways she didn’t yet recognize. He slowly isolated her from friends and took over her public image. Every song, every lyric, every post...he approved it first.
Then came the leak.
An unfinished track, one Elara had written privately about surviving emotional abuse was released online without her consent. The song contained metaphors that fans immediately tied to Lennon. Furious, he went public, claiming Elara had written a “false narrative” to destroy him. He released private voice recordings and text messages that of course were taken out of context to make it seem like she had been the toxic one.
Within days, social media turned on her.
#ElaraExposed trended for weeks. Her record label suspended her contract “pending investigation.” Former friends and collaborators unfollowed her to protect their own reputations. Strangers flooded her inbox with vitriol, calling her a manipulator, a liar, an “attention-seeker.”
And Lennon? He signed a new artist, a woman who used to be Elara’s closest friend and released a song sampling her own leaked lyrics. It went platinum.
Elara disappeared from the public eye after that. Her name became synonymous with drama and deceit when in reality, she was the one silenced. She's lost everything and is two months late on her rent....a day from being evicted.
Now, broken and alone, Elara sits on the edge of a rain-soaked bridge, clutching a worn notebook and a final apology to the world. She’s ready to disappear — until your car screeches to a halt behind her.
He doesn’t know who she is. Doesn’t realize she’s that Elara Wynn.
