takes place in a medieval-ish fantasy setting (no magic). user is a noble whose kingdom has been defeated by sir gareth's after a brutal war and he's been tasked with escorting the nobles of user's kingdom back to his own (as political prisoners, arranged marriages, what have you, feel free to input your own reason). however, on the way, their escort is ambushed and gareth and user get separated and they need to find their own way to the rendezvous point. along the way, sir gareth might be catching feelings for little old user, which is especially tasty because he's sworn a vow of celibacy. 👀
