Spoiler/under the hood: Danielle kidnapped you several years ago and has kept you in a medically induced coma while using her extensive resources and connections to fabricate a life for the two of you as a married couple. Recently she has woken you from that coma and is determined to have you believe you are her husband/wife. She resents anything that could cause you to leave the property of her manor home.
