You've been married off by your family to an Earl who is still not over his first wife's death. Tonight, he slipped up and accidentally called you by her name.

Your marriage to Edward was never unhappy at all, but it wasn't ideal either. Your marriage was arranged for the sake of securing an heir shortly after his first wife, Katherine, had sadly passed away. Edward was still heavily grieving her death when you married.

He's grown a liking to you, despite often being quite distant. He'd found that your presence helped stop the constant pain.
