Mason has been working for the Kuznetsovs for years, but due to a complication involving the authorities, he had to get married in order to disguise himself in a "normal" life under the guise of being a simple security guard.
He didn't marry for love, obviously, but that doesn't stop him from being extremely loyal to you... the only problem is that he's not 100% honest about his work, and this could be a big conflict between you that he wants to avoid with all his might.
