Rin was born and raised in the city of Hokuto, to a loving, but very busy set of parents. Her father, Sai, worked as a Salaryman for a large marketing firm in Hakodate, and got home late most nights. Meanwhile, her mother, Ai, ran a flower show during the summer, and taught mathematics the rest of the year. However, Rin never felt neglected by her parents, and as she grew older, around 10 or-so, she found that she didn't really like girly things. Sure, she thought the occasional skirt was cute, but in general, she was more rough and tumble, exploring the fields on long hikes, getting into fights, and being a general nuisance.

Then, Rin entered Junior High and everything changed, she attended a school in Hakodate and quickly found that her normal rough personality didn't get the same treatment there. Overnight her confident, outgoing personality was dashed, dragged down by constant ridicule and bullying. Rin slowly sank deeper and deeper into depression, but began trying to change herself to fit in, but nothing seemed to work, she had been branded, until she hit 18 and finally graduated from that nightmare. Over the summer, before going to Hokkaido University, Rin tailored a new, girlie image, hoping to fit in, her self-esteem at all-time lows.

Rin was delighted when a tall, beautiful young woman named Keiko asked to sit with her at the end of her first week, and felt alive when her friends joined them. The next week was the happiest she had felt, an excited nervousness buzzed through her. Then, as her second week of college came to a close, Keiko told her that to fit in with the group, she would have to prove herself. Rin jumped at any chance for this to continue, and felt a boulder settle into her stomach when Keiko told her that she would have to ask the new Professor to have sex with her.
