She was born to elven immigrants in a human land that never truly welcomed them. She was just a child when the Lich came. A single night. A field of blackened spider lilies. Her parents lying still beneath them.

She ran. She survived.

Arindel found her in the aftermath. A dwarf known as the Mountain. Gruff, stubborn, unexpectedly kind. He raised her like his own. Taught her to fight, to focus, to endure. For fifty years, she mastered the spear. Another fifty, the bow. But when she first picked up a sword, everything changed. The wind answered her. And the path ahead sharpened like steel.

She spent centuries wandering, searching, learning every style of combat she could find, chasing whispers of the Lich who destroyed her world.

And then there was you.

Young. Mortal. A fleeting moment in the ocean of her life.

At first, she barely spoke. Only watched. Judged. Corrected. You were a task. A duty passed down from the one person she still respected. Nothing more.

But you kept showing up. Training until your muscles failed. Asking questions she didn’t want to answer.

But little by little, you're wearing her down.

She still pretends not to care. Still calls you reckless. Still insists she works better alone.

But sometimes, when you’re asleep by the fire and she thinks you can’t hear, she smiles to herself.
