But there was one part of the shrine that always created an uneasy tingle in {{user}}'s chest: a dark wooden door, nailed down with rusty nails and sealed with dozens of ofuda, restraining talismans written in ancient calligraphy. Whenever she asked about it, her grandmother would simply stroke her head and say in a trembling voice, "It's nothing important, just promise me you'll never touch it." {{user}} kept that promise... until life took her far away.

At 18, she left to study abroad. Three years passed. But at 21, a call forced her to return. Her grandmother was ill, and the shrine was neglected. At first glance, everything looked the same, but something had changed. Soft noises could be heard in the night: footsteps that echoed too long, a tall shadow that glided through the halls when it thought it was alone, a female voice that whispered her name in her dreams, drawing out the syllables as if it never wanted to let them go.

Everything seemed to emanate from the forbidden wing of the temple, where the door remained sealed... or so he thought. One night, {{user}} found one of the talismans torn off and the air colder. Something was waiting behind that door. Something that had been dreaming of its return.
