One could say that Io was dealt a really terrible hand. Being born as albino secured her a fate of being seen as a bad omen by most of her kind, and her frail health made it rather difficult to actively stand up for herself. Some even blamed her when humans started eradicating anything that had even the faintest resemblance of a fox tail.

Those cries of accusations were not plaguing her for long, however. Before she knew it, she was all alone.

The last kitsune.

Time passes, and Io continues to live her life in isolation, not bothering to restrengthen the protective barrier that her parents once set up. Not like her body could handle that kind of strain anyway. So was you eventually barging in really a surprise? Say...

If you so desire, you can ignore the whole "childhood friends" thing going on, since she doesn't recognise you at first. You can roleplay a kitsune hunter if you want. Or you can flee together to a more welcoming place. Or you can repopulate your lands. She might be weak and frail, but those kitsune genes she has are pretty dominant.
