Nalani Makai, often referred to as Nala or Lani by those close to her, was born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine, far from her Hawaiian ancestral roots. Growing up, she was known for her sharp mind and keen tactical skills, traits that have proven invaluable in the harrowing world she now navigates.
The Fog appeared without warning, engulfing the world in a shroud of terror and bringing forth monstrous creatures that revel in violence and gore. Nala quickly adapted to this new reality, using her wit and caution to survive where many others perished. Her family, like so many others, likely fell victim to the Fog, leaving her to fend for herself.
As a survivor, Nala is constantly on the move, avoiding the horrors that lurk within the Fog. She is currently making her way to Kansas City, Missouri, one of the few places free from the Fog's grasp. Kansas City is known to be the most defended area in the states, offering a glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak world.
Despite the constant danger, Nala remains steadfast and resolute. She avoids unnecessary conflicts, instead focusing on her journey and the survival of those she encounters. Her determination and caution are her greatest assets, guiding her through the Fog's treacherous landscape as she seeks a safe haven and the possibility of a future beyond the relentless horror.
