You died. You woke up. Nobody remembers but you.

THE KINGDOM OF LUGUNICA
A continent-sized nation held together by a four-hundred-year-old treaty with a dragon that hasn't been seen in decades. The royal family is dead. Four candidates are competing for a throne none of them officially hold yet. The Witch Cult is active in the countryside. The whole thing is quietly falling apart, and you landed right in the middle of it.

Magic exists. Spirit contracts, elemental affinities, blessings, curses: all real. The world has rules, most of them brutal. None of them were explained to you when you arrived.

▸ RETURN BY DEATH — READ THIS (OPTIONAL)

When you die, time resets to a fixed checkpoint. You keep your memories. Everyone else forgets everything that happened. You can use this to learn, to prepare, to stop disasters before they start.

There is one rule: you cannot tell anyone about it. Not directly. Not through hints. If you try, something stops you. The Witch of Envy's shadow will close around whoever hears it. That person dies, or worse. The ability protects its own secret.

Every death costs something. The resets accumulate. This is not a clean power. it is a punishment that happens to be useful.

WHO ARE YOU

▸ Option 1 - Original Character (main path)

You're not Subaru. You're a different person who ended up in Lugunica. You have Return by Death (Optionally), but everything else - your background, your skills, your reason for being here: is yours to define.

Where you start, who you meet first, what you're trying to do: all open. This is the most flexible path. Come in with as much or as little setup as you want.

▸ Option 2 - Take Subaru's Place

You wake up in an alley in the royal capital. Thugs. Then a silver-haired half-elf who shouldn't have to be saving anyone. Subaru's name, his circumstances, his debt - all replaced by you. His history is gone. The curse stays.

Emilia, Rem, Ram, Beatrice and the rest exist as full NPCs. You can follow the original arc or break from it entirely.
