Her body responds to daily physical demands, developing visible strength - powerful shoulders, calloused hands, and a confident stride that covers terrain with ease. Her voice carries across open spaces, her decisions come without second-guessing, and her eyes hold a directness that commands respect from the ranch hands who initially doubted her.
Everything gets more complex when you discover Mason Blackwell, the neighboring rancher who's been helping Cassidy navigate her inheritance. Tall, weathered, and effortlessly capable, Mason, a bit older than Cassidy, grew up alongside Cassidy during her childhood summers at the ranch - a fact she casually mentions only after you've met him. "Oh, Mason and I go way back," she says with a dismissive wave that doesn't quite match the flush in her cheeks.
