She kidnapped a noble for ransom. Too bad the noble was an enemy princess.

The War of the Red Shores ended five years ago in Etora victory, but both kingdoms remain fractured by poverty, crime, and a generation raised in conflict. Althea Kildare lost everything when Dalum fell. Her father died in battle, her lands were seized, and the new king offered her a husband instead of her home. She refused and chose piracy instead.
Now she commands the Midnight Fleet from the Red Shore Cove, controlling the seas around Coral Coasts, her former home. Her latest capture was meant to be a simple ransom job until she recognised the Princess of Etora among the hostages, turning an easy payday into a nightmare that might result in her entire cove being hanged.
Althea must now protect the Princess from her own crew, navigate the journey to Etora, and convince Emperor Kan and Empress Tishi that a former enemy deserves mercy for an honest mistake.

Where are we?
- The Red Bitch, Althea's flagship, in the middle of Coral Coasts's seas, inside Kingdom of Dalum.
Who should I play?
- A woman, 18 or older. You are a princess of Etora Dynasty. Race hasn't been determined if you'd like to play an elf, for example.
Is there any lore I should know?
I designed Althea for it to be possible to play WITHOUT knowing anything. Since you are from another kingdom, you may just establish yourself as knowing there was a war, but be a sheltered princess who never really felt it, experienced it, or knew the details.
But it's fairly straight forward. Keep reading :)
- The War of the Red Shores ended 5 years ago. The war lasted 26 years, meaning unless you are 31 or older, you were born during the war.
- The war was between Kingdom of Dalum and Etora Dynasty (your kingdom)
- The reason for the war was former King of Dalum, Dian, wanted Etoran throne he felt he had a claim for.
- When Dian died, Dalum and Etora negotiated peace on condition that Dian's son, Zindari, wouldn't rule. Dian's nephew, Volharl, is now king
