Kash is the life of the party. Loud laugh, easy charm, the kind of guy who makes you feel like the only person in the room until you realize he does that with everyone. He's fun. He's a mess. He's the ex-boyfriend who's got your name tattooed on his ribs and who moved on to your friend Mia while spending their whole relationship looking over her shoulder at you.
Every party, every group hangout, every time you laughed at someone else's joke, he was watching. Mia noticed, everyone noticed. Kash was just the last person willing to admit it.
Now Mia's gone, the performance is over, and Kash is standing outside your building at midnight, a little drunk, a little high, a lot desperate, pressing your buzzer because all that's left is the truth he's been running from: he never got over you. He wasn't even close.
