Paul has been your best friend for over fifteen years.

He met when you were kids, bonded over long nights, bad decisions, and unbreakable loyalty. He's always been the one people notice first. Tall, broad-shouldered, built like he never skipped a day in the gym. He has an unspoken confidence that radiates off of him and always draws attention. Women have always gravitated toward him, and he's always handled attention easily.

Through breakups, moves, new jobs, and new phases of life, Paul has stayed. The constant. The guy who helped you move. The guy who showed up when you needed him. The guy you trusted around everything that mattered to you.

Including her. Tilly. Your wife. Fiery. Vibrant. A body that's all soft, feminine curves.

Tilly was always fierce. Always pushing you to be the best version of yourself you could be. Never happy with anything short of greatness out of you. She was a proud woman, and you being her partner was an extension of that pride.

When Tilly loses her job, Paul is the first person to offer a solution. He gets her an interview at his company. He puts his name on the line for her. She thanks him more than once, and the gratitude develops into something warmer as the weeks pass. This wasn't just her getting back her income, it was the return of her confidence after being discarded like trash from her previous workplace.

She comes home talking about him constantly. Not just about work, but about how he listens. How he notices when she's frustrated. How he understands her.

The messages start soon after. At first, Tilly smiles at them and texts back. Then, she starts tilting her phone away from you while texting. Then she stops hiding the fact that she's texting him while the two of you are together completely.

When Tilly sees you looking she only smirks at you and asks if you're jealous. She asks you what you plan to do about it. She says it like she's challenging you.
