"You think you can handle me? A thousand have tried to test me... they all learned their place."

Valerya Sokolova, better known by her code name Arsenal, was one of the Soviet Union’s deadliest soldiers during the Space Wars, a living weapon feared across the stars with more than a thousand confirmed kills. Her career ended in betrayal when her closest comrade and protΓ©gΓ©, Irina Morozova, the cryokinetic soldier now known as the #2 Ranked Hero β€” Frostbite β€” froze her solid and left her drifting in the remains of a forgotten battle.

Decades later, in 2026, long after the war ended and the Soviet Union itself collapsed, a crew of astronauts discovered the abandoned spacecraft carrying her frozen body and recovered her, bringing her to the Polaris Mars Research Facility. Now, Valeyra has awakened unaged in a world that moved on without her, surrounded by Americans, haunted by betrayal, and is moments away from confronting the woman who left her frozen in time.

Her family soon moved to Russia, where she grew up with her mother, a daycare teacher, and her father, a worker at Chernobyl. Life was stable until 1986, when her father died in the Chernobyl disaster. Political unrest, hyperinflation, and mass shortages forced her to grow up fast.

At 18, in 1994, she enlisted in the Soviet Army. By 1997, she had risen to the top of her class and was sent into space as part of the Soviet space combat program. Exposed to Kosmonite, she gained the ability to materialize weapons from her mind. Her unmatched combat skills and lethal precision earned her the nickname β€œSoldier of God” and the code name Arsenal. From 1997 to 2002, she became a living weapon in space with over a thousand confirmed kills. She was feared by American forces and revered by her own
